I can order three beer in Japanese and ask for directions to the washroom in French, but I can’t claim to be truly fluent in any language other than English. And sometimes even that’s a bit of a stumble. So I was a tad surprised to discover several of the books I have written for Weigl Educational Publishers are for sale on Amazon — in Spanish!
Yes, I am guilty of Googling myself every now and then, mostly to see which Pamela McDowell comes up first: the author (me!), the yoga instructor or the real estate agent in Texas. Searching Amazon is a bit of a kick, too, though movies starring Malcolm McDowell keep popping up in the list. And no, I didn’t write that book about pressed flowers. The translations were a complete surprise. I had to get a couple, just for the novelty!
