A Fun Photo Shoot

My second chapter book, Salamander Rescue, will be out next spring – yahoo! – and I thought I should update my author photo. Perhaps something with a little more character. A little more fun. A little more me.

So I enlisted the help of a great photographer and friend, Ellen Gasser, and a couple of ranch hands. It was a fun photo shoot. The stars were Britt and Brooke, a pair of blond Belgians, suitably fluffed for what I’m sure was not their modeling debut. Britt was happy to play along, tucking her chin and perking her ears like a pro. Brooke took a bit more convincing. Miss Congeniality she is not.

Ellen got some great shots….

And I hope the book designer will find one she likes for the back of Salamander Rescue.

Many thanks to the two helpful ranch hands who coaxed Britt and Brooke into posing with me, and to Ellen Gasser for the great shots.
