Adele debuted in 2008 and has become one of the world’s top singer-songwriters. There are many fascinating facts about Adele that you may not know:
- Adele often imitated the Spice Girls and loved to sing their songs when she was young.
- She calls herself “Delly from the Block” which refers to the tough neighbourhoods where she grew up.
- Adele’s album 19 was not an instant hit in North America and was at number 40 on iTunes – until she appeared on Saturday Night Live. Less than 24 hours later, it was at number 1.
- She had surgery on her vocal cords in November 2011.
- She has a mini-dachshund named Louis Armstrong.
